Meeting Place and Time: Meetings are held at various locationts throughout the district at
4:00 P.M. every third Tuesday of each month.

Established by Board of Supervisors Resolution of August 26, 1957, pursuant to Chapter 6, Paragraph 8950 of the California Health and Safety Code. M. O. of 7/11/95 to change name of District to South Kern Cemetery District. (Formerly Arvin Public Cemetery District); 3/11/2008 District requested staggered terms; 9/14/2010 Resolution 2010-273 increased number of trustees to five.

The District shall be governed and managed by five trustees, as specified in the Resolution 2010-273 adopted by the Board of Supervisors on 9/14/2010. The trustees shall be appointed by the Board of Supervisors. Trustees shall be appointed from electors residing within the district.

The trustees shall hold office for four years and until appointment and qualifications of their successors.

To govern and manage the affairs of the District, guided by laws and regulations as set forth by the California Health & Safety Code and by regulations that are promulgated by the Kern County Board of Supervisors.
